I was originally only a dog person and grew up with a family dog. But the cream colored cat was abandoned and I raised him since he was only about a week old, so he's totally bonded with me and is great at socializing with other people and animals. Little guy jumps in my lap when I sit on the couch and comes when I call him.

i used to have a cat like that, he was male but then we castrated him and he turned out to be some kind of matriarch for the other cats, he even fed two of them althought there was no milk comming out of his male nipple

Mines male too, I got him neutered since he wouldn't stop pissing on stuff. Fortunately he kept all of his lively, spunky (no pun intended) personality and stopped peeing everywhere.

If strangers come over he doesn't hide at all, he rubs up on their leg and might jump in their lap. He's good with kittens too, we visited my gf's parents and he had a blast playing with theirs.
