I actually love most kinds of bugs/insects/arachnids etc. I love spiders, moths, grasshoppers, mantids, beetles.. But cockroaches are the one insect that I just cannot be around. I wonder why.

Depends on how broadly inclusive you want to be when you describe "parasite." About half of all animals can be considered parasitic in one way or another.

So far everyone is describing obligate, endo-, macroparasites (can't survive without a host, live inside their host, visible to the naked eye).
