All purebred dogs are inbred to some extent. Doesn't always mean it's a problem, dogs are not the same as humans.

Not a single pup in the litter ended up with moms face though a couple got her brindle pattern

It's really not if it's controlled. Look up linebreeding. Parents x siblings and siblings x siblings(not sure about half siblings but I'd say it's too close) is a definite no go. In small doses it can be beneficial. There's no reason for us to do it though since we have plenty of people to chose from and eugenics is frowned upon.

Inbreeding also commonly naturally occurs in the wild and is usually only a problem when a population is isolated or they have a very limited population because the lack of genetic diversity. See cheetahs or isolated wolf packs.
Also you're inbred to an extent too. We humans went through at least two bottlenecks. Blue eyes also supposedly comes from a single ancestor and it spread through inbreeding. I think that's partially true except for that I don't think it came from one individual. I think the mutation could have occured multiple times.
