Yeah because they are playing. The tigers know that if they play harder they would kill their playmates and then the fun ends. In an actual fight tigers do not fight on their backs lazily batting at their prey or opponent.

You have a point in that big cats are wild animals, and wild animals will not typically throw themselves into a fight with another predator if there is a serious risk of injury. Many dog breeds have been bred for suicidal bravery and gameness which means they will fight in situations where most wild animals (including wild canines) would try to run. Wolves don't go around throwing down with bears either in habitats where they co-exist, but even tiny domesticated dogs will sometimes try to drive off a bear even if there's no hope of winning.

However, the anons above are correct- some dog breeds were developed for hunting large predators, but they don't kill lions and bears themselves. They'll harry and hold a predator for the hunters, but it's not like a fox hunt that just replaces the fox with a lion.
