Looks like a white-rumped swallow, though. Just a bit roughed up.
Found it in a river drowning. No parents in sight. Now it won't leave me, so I ask what and how to feed it, since so far no luck with experimenting

If you want it to survive, find a wildlife rehab center or individual wildlife rehabilitator and give it to them.
It looks like some kind of swallow or a martin. I don't know Australian species but I looked up some, and I'm guessing maybe it's a tree martin. Also, judging by the look of its beak, it's a rather young one.
As for what to feed it, these kinds of birds eat insects that they catch mid-air, but this anon's probably right >>2292005
Young birds are vulnerable and can die easily. If you can think of anyone nearby who has experience handling them, you might want to take the bird to them.
