This board needs more invertebrates.
I've always thought remipedes were pretty cool
>>2289396
Sure
Found this guy in NY, Very photogenic
>>2289461
Looks like Dolomedes tenebrosus. Nice photo.
>>2289396

I've always wanted to be eaten by a giant millipede.
my friend at my last job
>>2289396
>this board needs more invertebrates
>well it'd improve the IQ level of the threads
Admit it, you'd all like wasps if they didn't sting
https://youtu.be/HkveIxZKndg
Forget this chick's name but she's awesome. Can't go wrong with a gal that aint afraid of bugs.
>>2289663
Only other pic I have of her.
>>2289664
Man, even I'm too much of a pussy to have a wheelbug that close to my eyes.
>>2289476
>Dolomedes tenebrosus
Makes sense, while he wasn't right by the water, he wasn't far away from a lake.
I didn't want to get too close to him though because hurr durr wolf spiders, although I'm sure I've never actually seen a wolf spider before
One of my arachnid aliens
baby P. paradoxa
>>2289713
>>2289712
why does she look dusty?
>>2289663
I'd say you're right
not being afraid of such things is a good indicator of general character. Also tailless whip scorpions on face scores extra points
>>2289738
I Guess it's just from the Photo
They all look pretty much the same, here is one of her/his siblings
Still waiting for these things to hit the US market
>>2290487
nice
Are they even available in europe?
Because I've never seen these beauties before
>>2290886
>Are they even available in europe?
Yes.

>2,000.00 zł
Google says that's 478 freedombucks
:'(
At least as Aviculariinaes, they'll have pretty fast lifecycles for NW tarantulas. That'll bring the price down faster (assuming they breed well in captivity).
>>2290890
holy shit, nice
but that price tho..
>>2290912
you are right, that may bring the price down faster
let's hope they will be a bit more affordable in a few years
also, you could have just changed the currency on the site
>>2289664
Get ready for Chagas disease.
>>2290921
seeing how agressive assassin bugs can be, I also wouldn't dare to touch them bare handed..
but I don't think wheel bugs are known to transmit Chagas
Why does /an/ h8 inverts?
>>2291208
picked up 2 new pink toes today, I always try to grab whatever slings they're selling at the local pet store since I know the employees are either dreading dealing with them or are just luke warm on them. got the other half off since they were getting kinda big for their containers. Always feel bad arthropods in general get shit on so much.
I forgot which thread recommended this book, but thank you anon. Was a fun read.
>>2289861
the first pic was a she. pretty sure the photo i'm replying to is male but hard to gauge the palps at this angle i've got one too but she never looks dusty.
shut up and post more cute bugs
let's hear it for best wolf spider
>>2291334
interesting, I never knew that you could determine the sex this early on in E. bacillifer
>but she never looks dusty.
Strange, almost all my amblypygids look like that a few weeks/months after a shed, only the relatively newly shed ones are shiny
here are some Oxyhaloa deusta, because we do not have enough roaches in this thread
>>2291234
That's a really good book.
Aeluropoda insignis male
>>2292518
freshly molted
>>2289713
>>2289714
next stage
>>2292525
What species is that?
>>2293902
Phrynus marginemaculatus
but they are from Baracoa, Cuba, so they are really colorful as adults
the other one>>2290886
almost shows it's adult coloration, but is moult behind

Yo, there is a lady bug in my room who's chilling with me here during the winter. The problem is, that he's crawling around on my window a lot, which concerns me a little, because as far as I know he should sleep so he doesn't starve. Is it because my room is too warm? Should I kick him out so he knows its winter and time to sleep?
Thanks in advance!
>>2294320
Update:
I noticed he was trying to fly a couple of times, which made me quite sure he wouldn't be able to keep this up for too long. So I dropped him off outside on the window. He then went across the window slowly and is now sitting in the upper corner. He didn't move the last few hours. It's about -2 d Celsius (36 d Fahrenheit) outside. Will ladybirdbro be able to make it?
>>2294448
he will die
>>2290487
Those amazonian dwarf arborean tarantulas are amazing.
I'll post some spiders.
>>2295166
Crab spider.
>>2295167

>>2289396
In my room few days back
>>2295495
I don't know the species, but wow, that boy is hung
>>2295508
I think it's Steatoda bipunctata.
Also, what's with the chelicerae?
Could someone ID this grasshopper I took a photo of in Costa Rica?
So many of these around my house. Not venomous to humans but I'm extremely allergic to them. Cool legwarmers though.
>>2295600
beautiful
>>2295575
no idea, but it looks awesome
there are many pics from Costa Rica of this species (or at least the same genus) online if you google "rainbow grasshopper"
here is a L. verrucosa pair from Colombia, strangely, a smaller male seems to be the boss of my breeding group
>>2295614
Cheers! Going off the rainbow grasshopper, it seems like it's Tetrataenia surinama
I'll dump a few more of my photos, sadly they aren't the highest quality
>>2295618
nice, glad I could help a bit
Apparently they are in the hobby here in europe, didn't know that
So this showed up in my fish tank. I'm kinda pissed, but it's too cute to kill.
Can anyone ID the type of dragonfly?
>>2295965
Sorry for the potato quality.
>>2295965
Pretty tough to nail down the exact species since most large dragonfly larvae look very similar.
I'd guess some kind of mosaic darner since they are probably the most common big dragonflies.
>>2295965
Getting it down to family would require taking a look at its jaws.
>>2296373
keep it
here's one of the tiger roaches I got yesterday

there its a snail
Looking into setting up a tank for these bad boys. Branchinecta gigas, the giant fairy shrimp. Essentially a seamonkey so big it eats other seamonkeys.
>>2298152
Forgot photo.
>>2298154
looks pretty cool, post pics when you finish the tank
>>2298152
nice
be prepared, they are not easy to raise at all, and very cannibalistic
