Wrong. They'll disappear as a distinct phenotype, but not solely through death. They're already mixing with Canadian grizzly bears to produce hybrids. Some people call them "grolar" bears or "pizzly" bears.

You know polar bears do have 2-3 month long hungry summer where they live and they adapted. Oil and gas exploration will kill them off much faster.

Bears have been around for 25 million years. 150,000 years ago glaciers trapped some brown bears around the North Pole and they adapted to become seal hunters. The glacial period ended 10,000 years ago but the now white bears stayed where the seals were. As the ice disappears the polar bears will either merge back with brown bears, adapt to new food sources or die out. This is how evolution works.

Also, why does nobody give a shit about the seals whose entire life cycle is spent on the ice? They have almost no chance being fluorescent white in a linear costal habitat of mud, rock and sand with dirty hungry bears prowling about.
