Hey guys, tonight I found a catlike pic related on myway home, it waskinda just following me for a while until I noticed it and started meowing and getting closer, I just pet it and continue walking but it kept followinf forquite some time while meowing.
Is it lost? Does it likes me? Do I smell like pussy/food?
I'm not used to cats, usually when a dog follows you, it's probably because it needs food/shelter and sees you as some kind of leader, but I'm not sure about cats.
Personally, I wanted to adopt a pet for quite a while, preferably a dog, but maybe a cat could be a good friend.
It's just that I don't want to be it's food whore. Besides, I thought cats didn't get lost, what the hell is that cat doing around my house?
How do I adopt a cat?

Then don't get a cat.

But this one looked friendly
If it is going to you for pets, not just food, then you're not it's food whore

I've honestly had a cat following me until I got home just because it's owners didn't open the door in a timely manner, and it just wanted to be inside. If you don't want it to just be a food whore, make it indoor only and get vet records and shit to prove it's yours. It may very well be hungry but it may also be someone's indoor/outdoor cat.

that's how they do
Sometimes neighborhood cats are just friendly. My neighbor has one that he lets out sometimes and if I happen to be in my front yard when she's outside she always comes over and will stay until I go back inside. You don't need to look after it, it'll go home on its own.
If you want a cat, find one at a local shelter. They're inexpensive.

If it doesn't have a collar, then take some pics and post some signs in your neighborhood to see if it's anyone's cat.
If it's not, then take it in and have a new little friend. Take it to the vet if you do take it in.
