why do they LOVE to come down from the ceiling DIRECTLY over my desk and directly coming down with under an inch distance to my face.
I usually throw them out when I see them so there are not many around usually and it still keeps happening.
what's the scientific explanation for that shit.
happens at least once in a year, especially when it's night time and things can be spoopy easily.

Probably just hunting or exploring for a corner of your house to string web. Cellar spiders are known for exploring the full length of your house and stringing up multiple web traps for bugs.
They also keep out hobo spiders.
