He hasnt chewed on/through anything before or since except his toys.

Mine bit the power bricks cable, so lucky that it still works and all it needed was sticky tape to cover it. Also bit a tiny bit on the wiiu's gamepad stick. Two headphones didn't survive. My Grado SR60i and Sony EX300 were rip and fully chewed/destroyed.

If you find any small bumps on your rats, get it checked out fast. They get benign tumors sometimes, but if you let them get too big the vet won't be able to remove it and they'll die slowly. 0/10 wouldn't recommend it

Google and make sure any rat toys you get are actually safe for rats. Pet supply companies don't necessarily care about your pets. They shouldn't chew on certain woods, for one thing. Get the cage that has the most room, not the most tunnels, because a small cage can get uninhabitable with piss and shit in a day or two.

Giving them snacks can be nice sometimes but make extra google-y sure it's something they can eat mkay? There's a surprisingly long list of shit they can't have

Commit to playing with them enough. Don't get them if you're going to be too tired or busy to play with them. Thas bad.
