You're kinda right. Pantagonian Maras make good pets if you want the type of affection they can give and willing to build an enclosure they can't escape from. I fostered one and he was pretty cool, better than all the other options OP posted, certainly wouldn't get one myself though. I don't really have the desire to have what is essentially a giant guinea pig
The top right ones are fine, they're all over my backyard, everyday(live in south America). We call it "Cutia".
But they killed all the wild bunnies here, so they might become aggressive.

You can think of them as rabbits adapted to rocks and mountains (they are closely related to rabbits and their habitat is rocky and mountainous terrain).

Those are tiny antilopes. Deer is another thing.
