Hi!
Can someone tell me what kind of chameleon this is? I'm going to buy it including the terrarium etc from something similar to craigslist.
I called the vendor, but he told me that he doesn't know what kind it is and that he wants so sell it, because he lost interest in it and can't take care of it anymore.
So...anyone?
Unfortunately those are the only pictures I have.

Thats a panther chameleon how much is he selling it all for? Doesn't look like its in the best shape and I'm completely floored by the idea of someone owning an animal they don't know

Thanks! From the appearance I thought the same but it seemed just too cheap.
I paid 130€ (~140$) for the animal, the terraarium (Exo Terra X-Tall), the lamps and the interior + some boxes of food.
The chameleon really looks a bit thin, but I'm working on that. To the question what vitamin powder he uses he only replied "I bought some but never used it. They get all their vitamins from the insects" ...
Following things will be added as soon as possible:
- vitamin powder
- basking spot
- different soil for real plants
- something he can drink from (right now there is just a bowl, so currently I give the water with a syringe).
Is there anything else I should get? Right now I don't have the money to buy an automatic rain machine, so I spray manually twice a day.
Also; I reached my hand towards it and it immediately grabbed my finger and rawled up my arm - is that normal? Previous owner said "the kids take it out all the time" ...

thats no good for a chameleon
they need lots of airflow ontop of high humidity
Its generally done by having a wire cage with a misting system in it which also helps with drinking because they drink drops off of foliage instead of out of a bowl
