I heard it's an evolved trait to be very curious because that's how they find prey in the wild. I dont think hiding in a small enclosed area is a good strategy to avoid predators

Their life depends on perceiving movement and sounds of small animals. To relax, they found a way to isolate a part of their body from that info dump
Theory: if that's true, their behavior of loving high places to be in the loop is essentially the opposite thing. Would a cat still fill a box with itself if the box is placed somewhere pic related?
