We had european bison at the local zoo, I coulden't believe how enormous they were.

I visited a bison farm one time and got within reach of an American Bison and holy fuck those things are goddamn monsters. Their faces alone are about the size of our entire bodies. The farmers needed 20,000 volt electric fences around the entire pasture because that is the only thing that will keep a bison from going where it wants, and they still sometimes damage the fences while they're powered
