cactus soil mixed with two parts gravel. the smaller the pot the better. If the succulent wants repotting it will tell you with roots escaping.

Your plant probably would live in that thing if you water it whenever it's totally dry.

I usually water mine until the soil can't hold any more, then wait for it to dry out completely before I water it again. Supposedly because that's how it would work in the desert with limited rainfall. Even if I took and am now repeating shit advice, it is doing fine.
