What does /an/ think of Tegus?
>>2258557
That's a pretty cool looking dog you got there.
>>2258557
He's a chill lizard, but they get too big for my tastes. Would rather have something like an ackie monitor.
>>2258557
Non-mammalian pets freak me out because I'm a huge pussy and I guess my ability to anthropomorphize things is limited.
The dog of lizards, Adorable if trained right and a giant pain in the ass if not trained.

Whatever happened to that trip anon who received a morbidly obese tegu, that they successfully rehabilitated?
I loved seeing all the pics and updates, that darn tegu was so smart they even put a halter on it and took it for walks. (short walks, around their yard)

Yeah, their size can make them difficult for most people to keep, for sure. Nice choice though!
>>2259026
:^) To each his own I suppose, but for me it has nothing to do with anthropomorphizing them - just fascinated by all animals desu. Just love loving the underdogs.

Yeah, for sure. Did a lot of research before deciding I wanted one. Going to be spending several hours a day taming my dude when I get 'em. I don't need my fingers being bit off, literally, when he's fully grown. Going to be my child t b h.
>>2259058
No idea, would be nice if he came back desu. I'd love to see some other Tegu keepers posting. When I get mine and have him all settled in, maybe I'll start posting pics and updates of him.
>>2258557
They're pretty cool. If I got a baby one and raised it with my doggo would they be friends?
>>2259191
Not an expert by any means, but from what I've read and seen, I'm sure you could. Of course depending on both your dog and tegus temperaments.
It's lizzard doggo!
how expensive is a pet like this? not just initialy but also caring for it
>>2259616
Very expensive, and very high maintenance. Not a beginner pet in any way.
>>2259243
I feel bad for laughing.
>>2258557
I wouldn't be able to keep one, but they're awfully cute.
>>2259683
u monster.
>>2259683
I do not.
Literally just dogs with scales.
