I have become very interested in falconry over the past few months. Well I'm aware of the strict regulations and significant time and financial investments required, I want to know more about the hobby in general.

That's true, but cute bunnies and birds will stir up more emotions than crickets. But yeah, falconry is fucking awesome. I've seen it at Renaissance fairs. One got distracted by an actual squirrel and almost got it. It was pretty neat.
