I'm looking to for a paratrechina longicornis queen for my formicarium. Does anyone know where to buy one of these? I've looked on many sites but they are out of stock in most places.

Wew lad, why not just get a Pheidole spec.?

Anyway I think you gotta wait till somebody has them in stock again or go out looking for a queen yourself.

I live in Finland so there is no chance of finding one in the wild as they cannot survive there as its too cold during winter.

I want a crazy ant because they can have multiple queens in the same colony

Also the way the paratrechina longicornis reproduces with itself without inbreeding is another reason. Just one queen is enough to get many more from the same colony.

Yes so can most other invasive species.

Anyway go look around here, he usually has lots of different invasives in stock and ships all over the EU

I also want them not to be able to live in the wild in case they escape.

Only site I know of that sells them are world of ants but they are out of stock.

What ant stores do you guys know about?

Most species actually can't sting.

Exotics and invasives can't survive the winter.

World of ants has tons of stuff listed but everything is always out of stock. Also prices there can be insane.
