I had a few of those in my room once when I left the window open and left for a week. I poked one and about 15 half alive house spiders fell out. A wasp came in and started picking them up. I wanted to burn my house down.

Don't listen to this guy, it's got treasure inside. These wasps are fond of bright objects and may have placed some tiny semi precious stones inside to deter predators from their eggs.

Surprisingly docile wasps, at least the ones in and around my garage. Worse they've ever done is fly 1 inch from my face and scare the bejezuss out of me.

Their main diet is spiders, and they prefer colorful ones like orb weavers. That was completely normal behavior.
