Eh yo plont, how do I knot kill this shit IKEA cactus my mom got me?
High light, water a little once a week (less during winter), job done. The only thing plont's good at is spreading STDs through the Dutch gay community.
kek Thx
This is now a cactus thread, post your prickly friends
Pic sorta related. Can't be assed to go out for an actual photo.
Girlfriend and I made a garden in our front yard planter.
Got a few succulents but the cacti are my pride.
My peanut cactus has basically tripled in size in like 2 months.
Also have Beaver Tail, Devil's Tongue, some grafted cacti, 2 Old Men of the Andes, and (I think) it's called a Snow Cactus or some shit.
It's a cluster with small spikes that grow sideways to cover the entire plant.

You have nice succulents.

>>2243315
>from the guy who thinks taraxacum officinale is a super rare plant
>>2243345
>from the guy that doesn't even have a garden.
Guys should I keep the plastic it came with around it or take it off?
Also names
Fuck y'all it's name is now Ferdinand and it don't need no plastic bitch
>>2243445
get a nice solid rock pot for it because this looks awful.
>>2243429
I asked the same last week. My thread died.
>>2243429
That's just to keep the dirt from spilling, and to protect you from the spines
Check if there are drain holes in the bottom. If there aren't, then you should replant it in a pot that does have them. The worst thing for cactus is to have their roots too wet.
>>2243454
And one more thing: a lot of stores will sell cactus with a gravel layer on top that's glued into place (and that usually comes with no-drain-hole pots). If you have that, carefully remove it all, and replant it if you want it to be more than a short-lived desk ornament
>>2243348
wrong assumption, bugcuck ;)
>>2243448
you know the species names. do you want us to google cultivation tips for you or what?
>>2243476
I know one is a Lophophora diffusa.
>>2243489
Also, i was asking for names.
>>2243467
your shitty patch of weeds isn't a garden.

Post more of the "snow cactus"
>>2244056
These are cute.
Is this only for cactus? i was going to buy one and ended up buying a juniper bonsai.
Anyone know what species of cactus this is?
Also, should I change the soil to something more sandy?
It came with my apartment and I give it a few spoons of water once a month. Is that enough?
>>2243283
Not him, but it depicts a matador and a bull and has Disney characters in the packaging. Probably from a Disney park. Maybe the Spain area of epcot?
>>2244842
We already have a general plant thread.
>>2244855
Cereus jamacuru "Monstruosa"
>>2244855
Yes, that's a shitty soil for cacti. It should be at least 50% gravel and sand. Water 1x per week (except in winter)
>>2243445
this is my plant named Ferdinand
Hi thread. I too am taking care of a succ/cactus thingy. I think its an Echeveria hybrid.
What should I plant it in? Its currently in my garden soil but that stuff is full of clay, very soggy. What should I trasnplant it into? I was going to go for potting mix or sand.
I also have a decent about of charcoal I made up from cut branches and general garden waste to spread through the garden's soil, think some of that in there will be beneficial?
>>2242881
I had something like that once.
Mine died. I don't think I over watered it, though I might have under watered it. I did tend to forget about it for several months at a time.
Its death may have equally had something to do with the fact that I pulled off most of its spikes to put on people's chairs. Don't do that.
