So I was just at the a pond and I saw a duck swimming all alone on a cold October evening, is that normal or has the duck been left behind? I don't know much about ducks but it made me feel sad, there were also little bits of garbage floating in the pond around it which made it seem even sadder. I don't know maybe it's fine and I'm worrying about nothing.
You're probably reflecting your own human emotions on a careless duck

It's not that uncommon where I am. I know for a fact that ducks can have different personalities. I'm sure that ducko just likes his own company
Ducks are pretty social. I hardly ever see them alone. You should have gone and got him some bread or something so he wouldn't feel so alone in the world.

It's fine. Sometimes birbs leave their winter migration to the very last minute for reasons unknown.
