Should I let my puppy win when I play tug of war with him?

Depends on if he's stronger than you or if you get bored first. Sometimes I'll drop early on a puppy if I'm concerned about their teeth.

Sure.
Let them win sometimes so they don't get bored.
If you don't want to ever play tug with them , don't let them win
If you don't let them win sometimes, they might get bored.

Play fetch instead.

I always thought that the dog's reason for playing tug was the tugging. Not the "winning". Most dogs that I've played with who were really into tug would, if they "won", come right back and offer me "my" end of the toy again. I really think that most dogs aren't in it for "victory" but for the tussle.
Having said that, it's hard on their teeth and neck.

It answers the question though, and even shows you how to engage a young dog. Just watch the first 15 mins.

you need to go back

That really makes you think
NEVER give in and let someone beat you
If I drop it my doggo just brings it back to me and lets me grab it again
If they wanted the fucking thing they'd just bite you and take it

What else could be the reason
They don't understand winning and crushing your foes
