as someone who grew up in a house on a hill surrounded by literal jungle (in south east asia), it wasn't great.

the mosquitos were the worst. literally hundreds swarm you on a typical day. there are monkeys that run across the roof making very, very loud noises. they steal all your fruit. we have had pythons many times (some of them were big enough for about 8 firefighters to carry it, shoulder to shoulder). frogs get into your house. lizards EVERYWHERE, all the time. in the toilet, in the shower, everywhere you don't want them to be due to close proximity. its the worst when they are on the ceiling and you scare them by walking past and they proceed to fall on you then shit all over you.

also the cockroaches you can't get rid off, the rats, the termites, the wasps.

I'm guessing copperhead because it was living in the creek. Also it had babies that had the yellow on their tails which apparently copperhead babies have.

I'll post a pic of baby, but I didn't get the tail in the picture.

I wish my hands weren't so shaky so i could get clearer pictures. also the mom was in the back of the fallen tree watching me (it didn't show up in the picture because it was so dark back there) so I was a wee bit nervous again.

we know each other now though. they just watch and don't mind because I go out in the backyard all the time whenever I visit home from college.

I really need to find some woods or a forest near this stupid university city campus type place.
