Sort of, they are herbivorous animals that aren't super high strung. Most animals can tell the difference between a herbivore and carnivore, and don't mind hanging out around an animal they can tell probably isn't a thread.

Kind of like how a lot of people who have iguanas that will go apeshit around cats/dogs but don't even give rabbits a second glance.
