No mantis thread ever?

Good pets actually.
Funny to watch and easy to take care.

Already taking care of one.
Got here for like 5 days now, still trying to befriend it.
I found one injured on the ground and set him up in a bamboo plant in my house a while back. Fed him crickets and had him for four months. I read somewhere that they live for about 6 months, is this true? Where I live now, they're everywhere but I leave them alone because of the the short lifespan.

>easy to take care
ever heard of I. diabolica, mate?
Some small mistakes can kill them, but they are not AS hard to keep as many people say.
But none the less, absolutely nothing for a novice

The only problem I had with them was on molting time, besides that they practically take care of themselves, I even let it hunt by putting it next to the lightbulbs.
They are very clean like martian cats, and don't leave anything of their food.

exactly, the molting is the hard part, especially the last molting
>They are very clean like martian cats, and don't leave anything of their food.
yea, but they are not as shitty and destructive as cats are

yeah they have a notoriously short lifespan
I can't bring myself to keep one for more than a day wild caught because i feel bad.
This litle guy hangs in front of my house. No doubt dreaming of being large enough to bag one of those humming birds.
Murder machine en repose.
