/an/ you lied to me. Just got a rabbit, and they are like quiet little dogs. They don't lack personality at all.

>only getting a single rabbit
congrats, you already failed as its keeper
>>
>>2221399
Majority of the people on this board are cat or dog owners who's experience with rabbits has been limited to having a class pet at school or having one as a kid that quickly died from neglect.

Rabbits are fun pets, my current bunny curls up on my back if I lay on the floor.
>>

I spend a shitload of time with him now, are they that much better off with a friend? I'm not opposed to it, at least once he's neutered.

Wasn't really planning on getting one since he was a spur of the moment rescue. (yes, I got all the supplies and whatnot already)
>>
>>2221408
>are they that much better off with a friend?
Yes, always. Read up on how to properly socialize them to avoid any possible fights and injuries between them.
>>
>>2221425
Will do! Hopefully it'll be easier since he's so young.

I was a dog owner, my ex owns bunnies.

They actually DO have personality. Especially if you spend a lot of time with them.
They can be a lot more intelligent than most people would think.

Anyone saying bunnies don't have personality/character are stinking shitposters.

Are rabbits housebroken?
>>
>>2221401
Rabbits aren't rats senpai
>>
>>2221454
For you
>>
>>2221399
Rabbits make very enjoyable housepets, honestly. The only reason I wouldn't have one is that they IMMEDIATELY chew on any wire they find and they'll cut one in half in half a microsecond flat.
>>
Where do they shit and piss?
Can you toilet train a bunny?
>>
>>2222423
Yes, they use litterboxes. Usually aren't 100% good about poop, but their poop is pretty much the least offensive thing possible so it's no big deal.
>>
>rabbits are quiet
I dunno mang, my rabbit was fucking vicious. Bit every motherfucker in the neighbourhood.
>>
>>2221399
I want a tiny bun
>>
>>2221679
I wish ;_;
>>
>>2221489
what a big beautiful bun
>>
>>2221399

They're cute but not for me. Tbqh, the only rodent or similar species animal I could probably enjoy keeping are rats. Rabbits, guinea pigs, etc are too boring and finicky. I need something social and cuddly.

>only one type of animal needs company

Tons of rabbits are kept alone and do fine. Experts can't even agree on if they need companions or not.

Surely you must have a source for such a retarded claim.

Is it possible to be allergic to rabbits? A friend of mine had some that I would always pet and I swear they made my eyes itch. Do any of them actually like being pet? They seem to just tolerate it from me because I had cabbage.

My rabbit often does it when he's trying to cool down from running and jumping all day
>>
>>2222963
If you're allergic to other animals as well (e.g. hairs, saliva) then yes, though I haven't met people that were allergic to just rabbits.
And petting really depends on the rabbit itself.

My former one used to jump on the couch for pets and would keep pushing you if you stopped, but this one I got right now is an autistic shit that begs for a pet and runs off all triggered 3 seconds later.
