To answer your question : "The Airedale Terrier is not known for extreme shedding, but he does shed certain times of the year. Regular brushing keeps the coat in good condition (once or twice a week), and periodic bathing as needed (over-bathing is not recommended, as this softens the coarse terrier coat)."

What is the temperament like?

They're really stubborn, i'd say that is their worst characteristic.

When trained and shown to a lot of people, kids and other dogs (most importantly the small ones) when they're young they grow up OK seeing others.

But yeah i've heard stories about secluded Airedale that were really agressive (which is basically defense of his family).

terrordales are in fact, the best. my girlfriend has one and is a major fan, and is thoroughly disappointed in the lack of popularity.

English Shepherds have the intelligence of a Border Collie, but are more laid back and not as crazy, and they are objectively the best dogs for families because of their unique temperament. Kind and gentle and god-tier with kids, but they know when to turn it off and work and get serious.
