Shit, meant to ask for anyone with pet corvid experiences to share them. I have been debating getting a hybrid raven which is legal where I live for about 5 years but birds are a huge commitment so I have been biding my time to learn and make sure its what I want.
I would warn you, they are very smart and social animals.
They will want to be with you all the time, they are loud, and about as intelligent as a toddler. Take this as seriously as you would adopting a child. At least a child will grow up eventually and leave the house.

I am aware, the extreme intelligence is what drew me to the species in the first place.
yeah, as I said its been years and I still haven't made my decision yet, which is why I am still trying to learn all I can.

It's good that you acknowledged keeping a bird is a huge commitment. I only own cockatiels so I can't help much but I would urge you to consider whether or not you can keep such a clever animal from getting bored. They also live quite a while.
