Are these estimates based on the sound "they" made or just pure wankery?
>>2198733
Pure wankery.
Sperm whales are smaller than Blue whales but made louder sounds.
>>2198733
They theorized this from large wavelength sounds from the deep ocean ,most of which isnt explored
>>2198739
0/10 you have absolutely zero clue about the science behind it do you?
>>2198570
Who the fuck is Julia?
>>2198742
Who me? Im not saying this is not wankery.. I just stated the source of the hoax
>>2198742
I know how sperm whales make their sounds and the science behind that. I also know that Sperm whales are smaller than Blue Whales and are louder.
Have another, gents. Eye to beast comparison.

pretty sure this scale is wrong, you can't fit 40 of those buses into that empire state building
>>2198540
You know the bloop is just icequakes, right?
>>2198766
i didn't realize there was an eye in the bottom half before i clicked on the image
scared the shit out of me
Are there any videos of outrageously huge sea creatures? Or just really scary? Besides a blue whale. The ocean fucking scares me
>>2199047
The consensus with basically every researcher that heard the sound was that it was an organic sound, the icequack theory was simply as to stop people from talking about it and to not cause alarm and is practically all just fabricated or guess work.
>>2199265
>consensus with basically every researcher
It was suggested and immediately dismissed by one serious scientist, then latched onto by every paranormal idiot on the planet.
>practically all just fabricated or guess work.
...as opposed to all the super serious, empirical studies in giant-sea-monster-ology?
>organic sound
what?
>simply as to stop people from talking
Sure.
>icequack
top quack

bwaaaaaaaAaa?
If these creatures exists, what do you think they eat? Or are they just latched to volcanic vents and use the heat as an energy source while siphoning surrounding waters for other nutrients? Being that huge must consume shit tons of energy. Unless being on the bottom of the sea with that really cold water slows down the metabolism. Also isn't the pressure like insanely huge down there? Wouldn't that favor smaller creatures, not bigger?

Go to /tg/, ask for the post about nuclear powered dragons. There you go.
>>2200251
I think they eat like once every few million years and shit out fossil fuel and peed ocean water
wtf I hate ocean now
