Can we have an Arachnid thread? for questions, pics and care tips

For a novice would it be better to get a tarantula or a scorpion to keep in my dorm? I don't have a ton of space

Is it possible to save small spiders, like garden variety instead of taking them outside?
I like my spider bro, I don't want to let him go :(
I was thinking maybe a jar with a cheesecloth could work, since I give him food.
Mainly worried because exterminators are coming later today for roaches.

A bush in the sub that flies and such like to sit in. Along with flying aphids jumping spiders come for dinner
