Does anyone knows the name of this abomination?
camel spider?

>killing camel spiders
I seriously hope you die.
(and no, they don't kill spiders. in fact, their bite can't even penetrate human skin)
>>2194839
>kill spiders
fuck, I meant camels*
>>2194839
>in fact, their bite can't even penetrate human skin
Yeah it can. It doesn't inject anything, but it can.
>>2194833
brown recluse
>>2194833
That there is a harmless mole cricket my friend
>>2194848
True, but still you aren't ever going to get bitten by one unless you grab it and jam your finger into it's jaws.
>>2194933
>Implying that's not the exact sort of thing rednecks who come up with stupid myths about "dangerous" animals would do
Yep, camel spiders. The things that made the entire internet lose its shit a decade ago.
They're harmless.
Since this is a camel spider thread, what the fuck is this thing? It's clearly not the same thing as the things in this thread, but it's only called "camel spider" if you image search it. What is it actually?
It's a solpugid.
>>2195022
It's not real.
>>2195022
It's not natural. I'm not sure whether it's a shitty taxidermy, or 100% artificial, but I do know that it's made by human hands.
>>2195032
really?
>>2195033
i wonder if the person who made it knows its being used on "scientific" websites and tourism sites. lol
>>2195035
If reverse searching that image doesn't kill you then you can rest easy knowing you've developed an immunity to cancer.
>>2195022
not that shitty thing again
>>2195035
so much this
I allways cringe when I see this shit
just look at its chelicerae, they do not even look a bit like the real ones
Also, >>2195022
>'s clearly not the same thing as the things in this thread
This is, as said before, a fake 100% man made
BUT not every camel spider species looks the same (pic related)
>>2194839
It's not dead you ignorant red neck

>>2195004
I remember that video of it eating a lizard.
>>2195047
Than what in the world is wrong with its legs? One of them is obviously torn off, while another is twisted in an unnatural way.
To put things in perspective, this was taken inside a cardbox, the insect was about the size of a AA Battery, this is in Honduras, Central America, some locals call it "cacao", but couldn't find any info on the intent under that name
>>2195022
A fishing lure.
>>2195072
They call it chocolate? That's hilarious. I was in Ecuador over the Summer and they call Amblpygy false scorpions.
>>2195065
He was injured when I found him. He passed on and now is being taken apart by ants.
>>2195050
You're thinking of a scolopendra
I was in Puero Penasco Mexico and the locals called those "deer killers"
>>2194839
Yes it can,it is rather painful
