I have seen this bug before. I think it has 4 leags 2 by the side and 2 in front, like in a rest posture idk. It's gris and black, it's has a sting curved to hi the centre of his body, like a scorpion. I have searched it by describing the shape of his body but nothing came up. Any idea of what is this?
OP here:
* I haven't seen this bug before. *
Here's another photo.
I live in Perú BTW.

I searched too. Maybe a form of cranefly but I saw nothing like that sorry.
Can anyone please help?
It looks like a moth of some kind. There are some really strange ones and this is certainly up there. Reminds me of this species from Europe:

absolutely awesome find
I don´t know why, but it reminds me of Pterophorus for some reason
But I don´t know what it is
Mabe you should send a few pics of it to the guys at whatsthatbug.com
Also, where are you from?
But I'm in Peru dude. Lima to be exactly. Imma chek it out anyways.

and PLEASE give us updates if you find out what it is
Because I´m very intersted in knowing that too
Also, if you want, I can post your pics in an Lepidoptera-forum
maybe someone over there might recognise what it is
Yes, ID definitely keep you updated. I have posted it to whatsthatbug.com and I'm hoping for an answer. I can go home now and see if I can catch it. This could turn really interesting.
Another photo of this insect.
OP here
I just caught it.At first I though that it was 2 insects copulating but it's not. It flies and the 2 legs in the front don't separate from its position. Any help?
Better pics. Pretty sure it is moth.
I could see it being some strange moth species as well. It looks a bit fuzzy.
Never seen anything quite like it either, though. This really could be a new species. Hope you get info soon. If not, I'd get in touch with local entomologists or something so they can lab it.

It could also be a larval stage of a different insect. Some larval stages look nothing like their adult forms whatsoever.
OP here
I think I found it. It's black though.

I don't think that's it. It's..Things on the front go outward and are more angular.Thing looks weird as fuck.
OP again
Since no one can identify this Insect, un setting It free.

It's a plume moth.

If you live in peru it's not that unlikely you've just discovered a new species. It's not even that big of a deal down there.
