Got a problem with 1 of my kittens 6 weeks.
He likes to hide in this spot under chair.
Problem. Its a recliner and has moving parts. How do i block it off so he cant go in there anymore.
Get a large envelope, a piece of cardboard, a rubberband, and a quarter.
Cut the cardboard to barely fit in the envelope.
Cut a small circle, a bit bigger than the quarter, in the center of the cardboard.
Stretch the rubber band over the cardboard so it crosses the hole.
Place the quarter in the hole, between the rubber band.
Twist the quarter in the rubber band a bunch of times.
Carefully slide the whole thing into the envelope. Hold it tight to keep it from spinning.
Put it under the chair with something fairly light on top of the quarter.
>cat goes under chair
>cat touches object
>cat becomes scared shitless of going under that chair.
Kittens under 12 weeks should not have the run one your apartment. They should spend any unsupervised time in a kitten proofed room until they are old enough. Stick mom in the room with them half the day.
let natural selection take it's course
Improvised. Its not perfect but it certianly has deterred them from trying to get under since i put it in place.
