Only this one.
I tried taking a video of me feeding him but sadly my phone didnt start recording.
He was getting close enough that I probably could have fed him from my hand, but his beak looked fuckin sharp so I didn't want to risk losing something. I just tossed the shrimp down next to me and he would snatch them
where did you got the shrimp from

just a bag of uncooked, unshelled raw shrimp from walmart. I was using it as bait for fishing

Herons are one of my top favorite birds. I also fed one some of my bait shrimp one time, but then I went prone in the scrub and watched him for 20 minutes.
saved a life today, OP
feel good about it.

That's a great idea, why didn't I think of that. I'm doin that next time.
Herons are funny. We have them everywhere here, nearly every park has at least one as long as there's some tiny amount of water around. Still, people go apeshit for herons, always asking if I saw the heron, wanting to make sure I absolutely saw it, etc etc. Like they just can't stop orgasming over herons, it's cute in a way but still, settle down.

Herons are great, always around to give the lonely fisherman company.
