If you like cats, you're officially not white. White people prefer dogs. Cats are for Muslims.

Thanks, he's a real bro.
He's seriously the best pet and friend I've ever had.
I love our Cat, he's just such a good companion. He does want to play quite a bit. Didn't even plan on having him, but he was our former neighbours' Cat and he kept following us and sort of stayed with us ever since they got a a new dog.

Dogs are more intelligent than cats, both in terms of self-interested problem-solving and trainability.
>>2177391
Probably not; insufficient dexterity because of anatomical differences. But my dog started opening doors for himself (with round knobs, not lever handles) when he was only 4 months old, and at just under a year old has taught himself (without prompting) to put different toys in specific containers.

My grandad's dog did. He slept in a shed that was on cinder blocks, so his toys would get stuck under it. That fucker was smart, when he realised he couldn't reach his ball I, like an ass, rolled under the shed he grabbed a long stick we were playing with and used his mouth and paws to lever it out.

>tfw when morons mistake neurotic behavior for intelligence
How come cats can recognise you but they cant recognise themselves in a mirror?
>>2177355
Nah, you're thinking of dogs. They eat their own shit and then people let them lick all over their faces.
>>2177329
Today I closed the kitchen door so cat can't go there. There was a box next to the door. Little brat climbed the box and tried to pull the doorknob down. What the fuck

Only catfags think dogs eat their shit because only a catfags dog is malnourished enough to need to eat it's own shit.

>>2177349
My overall experience with dogs is that they are (mostly) very retarded. They have sharp senses but with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions of all the dogs I've met most of them were profoundly stupid.
I've had basically the opposite experience with cats. I've known a couple were obviously not that bright but most of them they seem to be thinking, you can see them working things out.
My cat taught herself how to open some doors, she's not the only one I known that does this.
Quick observation on cats v dogs:
*Cat's use stealth to carefully stalk prey.
*Dogs start barking at whatever they are chasing when they are a mile away from it.
>>2179575
Is being uneducated compulsory for catfags or what?
So guys, slightly related to the thread, and I don't feel it deserves it's own thread.
Also I'm not from this board so bear with me.
About 5 days ago, I finally got my cat daughter spayed. She's been doing great with the recovery, in fact today she felt good enough to play fetch with hair-ties for a little while.
But here in the past few hours, she's been licking at her stitches quite a bit, and is completely ignoring my threats for her to stop.
I guess it's just because her incision is healing and it's itching, so she feels the need to lick at it.
Anyway, I don't want her to open herself back up, and I don't want her to get herself infected, so what's a good way to get her to stop?
I don't have an Elizabethan collar, I live roughly 30 minutes from the nearest town, and it's 1:30am, so getting one is not an option.
What's the best way to make her not lick her stitches that doesn't involve an e-collar? I've read that putting deodorant around her stitches will make her not want to lick them, but I just don't feel comfortable doing that.
I have a big walk in closet with a sliding door and the cat always gets in even though it is completely closed. I can pull it off the rail but the cat still manages to get in
>>2179580
Don't threaten your cat. Threats generally don't work with them and often make things worse.
You really should consult a vet as soon as you can and probably get her an elizabethan collar.
There may be a very temporary solution if you're desperate right this moment. I've never tried it or seen it done, but maybe you could try putting butter, olive oil, or coconut oil on her back. She'll be too busy licking that off to lick her stitches. It won't last long, though. Small quantities should be okay but don't keep doing it for more than a few applications or she may get a stomachache or something.

>saving cats
>my sides are in orbit
Some are, some aren't.
My first cat would lay his body over my shoulders while I was in bed and growl and practically scream when my uncle came in the house drunk and breaking shit. That cat would have probably jumped and latched onto his face if he ever came all the way into my room.
My second cat was a complete retard and couldn't understand that rubbing on someone's legs while they tried to walk got his tail stepped on. Even after a fucking year and two vet trips later, he still fucking did it.

>dogs are descendants from wolves
>descendants
cringe, thats like saying humans are descendants from chimpanzees
They're "cousins" that share a common ancestor retards
>>2179961
Wouldn't common ancestor imply that they came from something like a wolf, but wasn't actually a wolf? I mean, they are not wolves quite obviously, but wouldn't it be more appropriate to just say they were domesticated -from- wolves?
>>2177367
I bet a dog posted this.
