What kind of spider is this? It is in the SW USA and was about 2-2.5 cm long.

It had a HUGE web and it stayed in the center and tugged systematically in a circle. When a fly hit its web, it tugs in the direction of the vibration to stimulate more twitching and then webs it up and brings it to the center of the web to consume it.
