I noticed that my betta's fins began fraying, and after doing a bit of research I think she may have some bacterial fin rot. I did a full water change and gave her some Bettafix. Is there anything else I should do for her? She's my first fish so I'm new to the aquarium keeping hobby. Any help would be much appreciated.
pic related? you could filter the fucking water
never do a full water change.
you need to pick up a filter and a heater. that size tank seems like it's probably okay, maybe a bit small. google aquarium cycling.

Looks like it has an undergravel filter. They work ok. Function better in reverse with a powerhead is forcing water down the tube rather than air drawing water upwards.

Fins are probably getting torn on those plastic plants
Fuck that's an ugly tank. Just throw the whole thing out you tasteless pleb.

This.
Plastic plants and rough hardscapes are known to tear a bettas fins. Get live or silk plants.
Also, throw the fucking betta fix away! It does more harm than good. I wish they would take that shit off the market.
Plastic plants are bad for bettas. It might be tearing it's fins on the sharp surfaces. Replace the plants with some live plants and a morimo moss ball. make sure it's a real one though and not a styrofoam ball covered in moss. I'm new in betta keeping as well. I believe, as far as I've heard from other betta owners, that you should only change 25% of the water every two weeks.
