So i have a featherfin catfish, which everyone Ive talked to and everything Ive read says they're really aggressive
but mine isnt, he just sits at the bottom and the fish i have now are just attacking him all the time, he doesnt even move when I add food in
i have only a 40L tank i could move him to which is way too small, but i cant keep him where he is now and i have no room for another tank
I've had this fish for about 6 years so I wanna keep him but i dont know what to do

Synodontis usually can be rehoused without any problems,depending on your area. I'm sure you'll find someone with an african cichlid/big enough tank near you, that can take care for him, if you look online.

How big is he? Not a Syno expert, but he needs like 30 gallons iirc.
You got a spare filter? A friend of mine gave me like 6 african clawed frogs and at the time I didnt have the money for a new tank, so I bought a transparent Samla plastic box from ikea, and set that up as an improvised tank. The biggest box they had cost me like 10$.
