I have a problem with this mantis, basically after I try to handle him I put him back in the container and, whatever position it assumes, it stays like that for many hours.
Even when it's not touching the ground with its legs.
Also i have him for a day and he hasn't eaten nor drunk.
I never had a mantis so i'm a bit panicking.

it's dead, bro

why do you handle your mantid? That is an immense stress factor, especially for H. coronatus, because they are real pussies.
Also, this species is not really for beginners.
Also, it's wing buds look a bit thick (can't say for sure by the pic) on the pic, maybe it was preparing for it's next molt and you killed it because you couldn't keep your fingers away from the poor guy.
But this guy >>2152780
is right, it is dead/nearly dead
If it doesn't move when you touch it, it's dead.
RIP little guy

forgot to say, maybe the temp/humidity was wrong. This can kill H. coronatus really fast in my experience
It's not dead, when i touch it it moves.
I handle him just to add the water to his container, nothing more.
Also, i just now noticed that it's abdomen is pulsating, does it mean it's starting to molt? Or getting ready to it?

A parasite is about to erupt from it
