Not a lot of people go there for some reason. If you've been to the Königssee you'll know that the ferry stops halfway at the little peninsula with the pilgrimage church. Most people kinda just walk around there a bit and get back on the ferry to get to lake Obersee but there is actually a path through the valley that leads to that ice cave. It's not even that hard and only takes about 2 hours to get there but even on really busy days there's rarely anyone there. Sure if you actually want to touch the glacier ice you've got to do some climbing and there's no path but even that only takes around half an hour or so.
You get an all around awesome view and some rare plants and animals that you usually only see at much higher elevations because the valley is much colder than usual due to all the ice.
Don't actually go into the ice cave though, at least in summer, that shit's dangerous as hell.

good job!

But did you get the "little rings" off as well?
Or were they loose enough so that the snake was/will be able to get them off by itself?

I have one of these cute little shits living in my mailbox. I'm terrified he's going to get smashed by the club-fisted mailman one day. I've already removed him once and put him in the brush at the side of the house and he was back the next day. He's such a cutie though.

Where exactly? I would go there to check these out if its close to Slovakia a bit
>>
>>2143870
between Kirchdorf and Linz, but they are relatively common allmost everywhere.

If you want to find some, look near slow moving, sunny bodies of water
And don't be afraid, if you want to catch them, just pick them up, they won't bite.
They usually just play dead and musk
>>
>>2143874
Thx this helped a lot! Also I got interested in Berchtesgaden I don't know if you posted that as well, it's not far and it look more than beautiful. I decided to make a trip to Berschtegaden and Kirchdorf will be a checkpoint on the way. Also what does Bad mean in German? Like between Linz and Kirchendorf is Bad Hall and I also know Bad Bleisberg so I think it's common what does it mean?

Also contributing with Slovakias Trubiaci Kamen (The Horn Rock). It's located in Sucháň near Levice. It's a giant rock that when you blow into it's openings like on a horn it will be heard across like 2km and when lucky you can attract a herd of deer (I did when I was there) and there is a beutiful 1 hour hike before it with like 0% slope in beautiful nature overgrown with trees and moss

I didn't post Berchtesgarden, but I have been there before. You really should go there, It's beautiful.

Great choice. Near Kirchdorf, there are a lot of places you can hike through an awesome landscape. But that is even better at Molln, or pretty much everywhere in Kalkalpen Nationalpark.
Brunnental is also nice. Or Almtal
If you get to higher elevations (~2000m above sea level)
You have good chance to see Vipera berus too. But please don't try to catch those. You won't die, but you will have a few bad days.

"Bad" in a city's name usually means, that there is a health resort.

Trubiaci Kamen, sounds nice, I might have to visit it in the near future

pic is Cypripedium calceolus, photographed in Brunnental

This helped me a lot thank you for sharing your good knowledge. If you are from Austria and haven't been to Slovakias Tatras (The mountains in the middle) Then you should pack your bags and go, It is almost all the beauty we have because Slovakias Cities are pretty awfull except for like Villages and Near Mountain Towns or Resorts. Take care my friend and thanks again!

Pic related, its Gerlach Peak our Highest mountain in the Tatras
