animals aren't stupid, friend

Not OP but 2 days ago it was raining and a toad hopped right under my foot as I was stepping. I was walking my dog at the time and watching him so I didn't notice until I had put almost all of my weight onto the little guy. Thankfully he seemed alright because he just hopped away.
Point of the story is that yes, they are stupid sometimes
ITT: toads are frogs
I've mowed over tons of frogs and toads, they do not get out of the way
Picked a toad up off my porch last night, didn't bother to make any attempt to avoid getting pinched
Toads are pretty shit at surviving any kind of actual danger

Toads ARE frogs.

I think their pissing strategy is pretty effective though. I only picked up a toad like twice after having that happen. very carefully.
i saw a frog/toad in my yard for the first time today when i was mowing. he slowly hopped out of the way. just like a rabbit, he kept going in the direction i hadn't mowed yet so he had to keep moving.

I'm supposed to be the slower one, dammit.

Apes aren't humans, but humans are apes.
it's a rectangle/square thing.

toads aren't bothered because in nature most predators would drop them and leave them alone after getting a taste of them. and a mouthful of pee.
they didn't evolve to combat lawn mowers

>they didn't evolve to combat lawn mowers
Is that how these guys evolved?
>>2140141
No, they evolved to BE lawnmowers.
