Where the hell did you buy one of these?
>>2138768
bugsincyberspace
They're sold out, though. Mines still a nymph, but I think it's molting right now.
Nobody likes bugs?
>>2138752
I had 4 of these when I was a kid. They were great, and very ticklish. Only every got orange goo spit out on me one. I mistake for trying to give one a bath.
Also, do you use some sort of heating for most of your anthropoids? If so what kind? And how much do you pay for it?
>>2139014
They're really hard to get in the U.S. now. I only got lucky and found a few at a reptile expo, but they were charging really high prices so I could only afford one.
I occasionally turn on an heat pad when I think it's a bit cold, but I usually keep it off. Don't know how much it costed.
>>2139016
Also, what are some of the good websites for buying arthropods?
>>2139032
bugsincyberspace is really good, never had a bad experience with them
kenthebugguy has a lot of tarantulas
capecodroaches sometimes has what the others don't
there are probably more, but those are some of the best
My Asian Black Forest Scorpion died while I was at work today. showed no signs of feeling off, he was active yesterday and last night, but when I examined his corpse after work, the joints around his claws and legs had started to turn white and its mouth was kind of yellowish. Anyone know what killed my little buddy?

Also, my emperor is getting hella fat. Had him about 8 months now, and he hasn't molted once. Isn't that a bit odd for them?
> Sorry, semi noob arachnid owner here.
are scorpions dicks or do they not mind being handled?
>>2140010
I haven't risked it yet. Mine assumes a threat posture whenever he sees me.
>>2138758
Sweet tricked out beetle, man
>>2140022
Thanks. He's a fucker, though.
>>2138758
What kinda beetle is that?
>>2140611
Christmas Warrior Beetle

IS THAT A BLUE DEATH FEIGNING BEETLE!?!?
I want some of those holy shit!
>>2141685
They're pretty neat. I've had em for over a year now. One's got part of his leg missing, though.
>>2141738
Does it grow back? I know that if my cleaner shrimp loses a limb, it takes a molt or two to grow it back. But, how'd a beetle grow their's back?
>>2141744
It doesn't. Adult insects don't molt.
>>2141761
That's what I figured. It's weird, I thought insects had limb regeneration.
>>2141685
What is so great about them? What do they do?
>>2141768
they feign blue death
>>2141768
They have the most beautiful blue coloring and they fake death so effectively that it puts possums to shame.
