This little guy hatched from a cocoon and is inside my house but hasn't flew since he hatched about 4pm. It's currently 9pm almost. Is he just waiting to dry? Or maybe doing something else? He's now at the window panel near my front door. Should I take him outside so he can be free. I have no idea on whether to disturb him or not
that looks similar to a cabbage moth
if it is, you could do the world a favor and keep it indoors in a cage until it dies
I guessed it was a cabbage moth. Don't they only live a few days anyways?

They're very good at laying eggs on, and subsequently trashing some plants. It's not impossible to deal with, but it's annoying and I wish they'd go eat some shit plants like English Ivy and Kudzu.
I left the door open the next day and it flew off
Pic is the cocoon it came out of. Turns out I have a further 4 on various windows
