Oh it is. I thought I had some infestation. Thanks friend

What are some ways to get rid of these little assholes? I've also been finding 1 or 2 of them every few months. I put out some pheromone glue traps but I want some back up options too.

Vacuuming frequently. Having your vents cleaned. Disturbing any places they could be hiding out (piles of old clothes, your collection of zebra pelts.) Running a dehumidifier if needed to make your home less insect friendly.

I actually vacuumed twice in this last week and found one of them just hours after I vacuumed the 2nd time. I'm pretty sure that they're all coming through the windows and not actually infesting since I never seem to see them during the winter months at all. It's only during the months that we leave the windows open at night to cool off the house.

I don't think I should start a new thread so I'll post in here.

Can anyone ID this? I'm pretty sure it's a fly but don't know what kind.
I've already killed several of them flying around in my room.

I'm in San Antonio TX.

I want to say it's some sort of syrphid fly but I can't find any online that match the appearance.
