Border Collies are wonderful. My bitch is so smart and has a great personality. They're definitely not the dog for everyone though as they're much more high maintenance than a golden or a companion breed.

I also like livestock guardian breeds a lot. The instincts they have are amazing. I want to have a farm in the future so hopefully I'll get to have a pair of Great Pyrs.

Pic related, the standard poodle. I'm biased because I grew up with one being my best friend from the ages of six to about eighteen.

She was stupid as anything, but absolutely the sweetest dog in the world. Every other standard poodle I've met since has also been a very chill and friendly kind of dog.
