So I want to find a nice piece of wood that will sink to the bottom of my ten gallon for my guppies to play with. Which woods native to the high country of Colorado will sink when waterlogged?

You're better off buying some rather than picking it up in the forest. Otherwise, you're likely to introduce parasites, mess up your tank's chemistry, etc.

Idk. You could try getting ironwood from from like a science store or some place that sells wood samples but like the other anon said, it might mess up the tank
