Don't think it's that only for the fact it is more circular. Previous owner of house bought it from Home Depot/Michigan.

Looks like a leaf from a common ornamental pear variety (Pyrys spp.), such as Pyrus calleryana. The glossyness, fall colour, and leaf shape point that way at least. Especially if it was bought from Home Depot. Definitely not a Populus species though.
