So bacteria can sense danger?
>>
>>2007686

They can be very sensitive to their surroundings.
>>
>>2007686
They're able to use special sensory proteins to evaluate their surroundings and initiate chemotaxis. Some bacteria can even mutate and attach special antigens to their surfaces in order to fool our immune systems into leaving them alone.

>>

>>
>>2007710
Egrets just stand around waiting for fish to come up close, if you watch closely, the Corvid in the vid actually plucks a feather to lure the fish over to what might be food. Then, the bird grabs the fish that he lured closer. It's pretty incredible once you see what actually happened.

That's a cougar/mountain-lion hunting a sloth. How is that even possible if they live in totally different environments. Either the sloth traveled very north, or the cougar somehow went even further south than Mexico.

Had they naturally lived in the same environment, clearly sloths would have gone extinct long ago.

First off, that chicken is clearly an attention whore. Despite the chicken clearly being thrown in there to be eaten by crocodiles, none of them seem to give a fuck. So what does the chicken do? It fucking hops over them, climb their tails and even walk over their heads as if to say "don't you dare fucking ignore me; can't ignore me now!"

Secondly, it is as if the other crocodiles become so jealous that they are even willing to turn the croc that caught the damn chicken into the main dish for not sharing.

So much "what the fuck" in a single clip.

Does anyone know why woodpeckers would do that? I watched a video once on deer that eat baby bird heads, but why would the woodpecker only eat the brains? I figure it's easier to eat and maybe similar in consistency and slurpability to insects. Still I'm curious how woodpeckers developed this way
