I want a Tamaskan so badly because I'm autistic and love that it looks like a wolf. Problem is I've only been able to find like 2 breeders online and only one of them actually has the wolfy look, the other's dogs just look like huskies.

A kerry blue terrier, generally unknown and overlooked in favour of the Irish setter or even the Irish wolf hound but the Kerry blue almost made it to being nation dog. I love one but the problem is I do not think I would be up to their training needs, they need a lot of socializing otherwise they end up nasty as fuck, another problem is they are aggressive to all animals including other dogs even if socialized properly.

I took in my brothers wired haired German pointer who have similar needs and he was never socialized properly because my brother did not know it an an aggressive breed.
I already have a dog who has a burning hatred of everything besides myself, the family and a select few who knew how to approach him which include my auntie who he associates with walks, my sisters boyfriend and my father's best friend who both know how to handle gun dogs and just strolled past him.
Having a dog like this gets boring quick and worrying quick, at least he is old now.

Why are all the cool dogs either aggressive or require a shit ton of exercise, guess ill stick to cats or maybe a jack russel.

Not rare exactly, extinct, but I was just wikipedia spelunking and I read about the extinct Feugian dog which was actually not even a dog because it was domesticated from the culpeo, a fox type canid.

I think the extinct breed of dogs domesticated from canids besides wolves are so fascinating, I wish some were around. It's very interesting to me that canids of all sorts lended themselves so well to it.

The Feugian dog was understandbly not quite as tame as most domestic dogs. They didn't hunt for humans and observing missionairies etc thought the Yaghans actually used them as blankets. They were supposedly shy and vicious but I suppose, quite snuggly. Some people called them maned dogs because they looked like maned wolves. I think they look very cute from what I can see in pictures.

A similar one I found was the Hare Indian dog. It was supposedly possibly a coydog hybrid or domesticated coyote. They were more researched and imported than the Fuegian dog so there are many more accounts on them. Apparently it was very playful, rubbed against you like a cat does, and did not know how to bark but learned to imitate the barking of other dogs. It had a bunch of quizzical noises it used instead.

It was often mistake for a fox but sounded like a coyote.
