I'm deciding whether or not I should join the military, or just keep being a meaningless citizen when highschool ends for me.
How drastically does the military change my life when I'm in it?
Will I come out of it and continue to do the things I loved before, or will I change?
If I join will I miss out on alot of things to experience in my twenties?
I'm really needing answers and advice.
The pic is related, and its of me. I'm finishing my last year of highschool

Join the Army and go to clubs and bars every night while earning a decent paycheck and making everlasting friendships.
You will change, a lot. You will learn you could do stuff you never thought of.

man im 31 and wish i'd joined , just go for it , id go navy myself , the military may change your outlook but at same time you will get a good wage and come out healthy as fook and able to buy a house
19 in the marines.
It Really doesn't matter what branch you join. You are going to hate it for the first year then you are going to love it for your later years. But wtf do I know I'm drunk as shit rn and fucking around with marine buddies. It's all up to what you want. no matter what you are going to have a great time.
My boyfriend is in the Marines. It seems really difficult and they will make you do a lot of shit that wont make sense, and you wont be able to defend yourself or anything if they're being unfair to you but I'd say go for it. The pay is good and he said it taught him discipline and time management. From what I have noticed, Navy or Air force always gets better benefits.
